Obama Overexposed? C’mon.

Yes it’s possible to overexpose a brand, but not the President’s brand.

It would be amusing if it wasn’t so disturbing.  The President attempts to improve Administration performance in the battle for health care reform by increasing his public appearances.  Town halls that go HIS way.  And they did.  Going wide is exactly what I tell clients to do when working with difficult messages intended for mass consumption.  Get out in front of them!  Own them.  The proof that the President’s actions WERE the right thing to do:  how quickly critics took him to task for being “overexposed.”  It began with the usual suspects – and you’d expect it to – right-wing radio.  But then to watch mainstream media pick it up and use it in teases just shows how perverted are the criteria used in story/tease selection at the nets.  Shame on you.
